We'll still be cleaning up XP in years to come.

Keeps us in a job, innit...

I can't wait until the next Patch Tuesday, when critical security fixes for Windows Vista or 7 give the bad guys a clue as to where the issues are in Windows XP (since there is still a lot of code shared between them). Each month, Microsoft will provide a roadmap for exploitation!

@Gabe,

You're right of course but OTOH nothing noticeable in that regard will actually happen on Patch Tuesday itself.

I can't wait until the first time a computer pandemic is absolutely and positively traced to such a patch. When CIOs are forced to face the music, or some regulatory body prohibits XPs then it will truly be amusing.

I see this more as an opportunity window to offer more services. For example offering hotpatching a new security vulnerability and giving support for virtualizing more applications like older Internet Explorer versions.
