No Beta Software Yet for MetaFrame XP 2.0 (Codenamed "Hudson")

iForum is starting to swing into gear today, although the official kickoff party isn't until tonight. Before the conference, I heard from multiple people at Citrix that they would be distributing beta software for the codename "Hudson" version of MetaFrame XP.

iForum is starting to swing into gear today, although the official kickoff party isn't until tonight. Before the conference, I heard from multiple people at Citrix that they would be distributing beta software for the codename "Hudson" version of MetaFrame XP. The Hudson version of MetaFrame XP will probably be known as something like "MetaFrame XP 2.0," and it's scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2004.

No official word yet on the new features, although rumors point to things like AD integration, MMC-based administration, and bi-directional audio support.

Citrix doesn't have a formal beta program, instead opting for testing from early adopters and tech previews distributed at shows. I'm still hopeful that we'll get Hudson software at the show.. Maybe they'll pass it out after tomorrow morning's keynote speeches?
