More self-censorship from Citrix: The bad news that never was

The recent press release stating that Citrix's CTO and CIO are no longer with the company is mysteriously missing from the press release section of Citrix.com.

A friend of mine emailed me today and pointed out that the recent press release stating that Citrix's CTO and CIO are no longer with the company is mysteriously missing from the press release section of Citrix.com. That site contains several newer and older releases, just not the one talking about Citrix's internal reorganization and key executive firings. (Oops! I mean "mutual decisions to leave.")

What's weird about this is that Citrix themselves were the ones who released that press release. It's not like it's a rogue news story where Citrix can just ignore it and say "no comment."

However, Citrix is known for enforcing their version of the truth, so this is really not unexpected behavior for them.

I saw it absent as well, and wondered the same. Usually, most analysts take this as a positive sign. Why cover up, especially when the PR people could put a nice spin on it?
