Gabe, Justin, and I are here in Barcelona for another edition of Citrix Synergy. We have a lot of events to attend, content to create, and people to talk to in the next 3 days:
We will be covering the keynotes on Wednesday and Thursday, tweeting and live blogging as usual. (Here's the live blog from Synergy US, in case you want to get refresh your memory on what happened there.) Since we have Justin in Barcelona with us, we'll be able to have a live radio show (time to be announced) and get videos of all the latest vendor product updates and announcements.
Gabe recently wrote up his expectations at SearchVirtualDesktop.com, and he mentioned possible news about Project Avalon, XenClient Enterprise, Citrix Receiver, RemotePC, and love for Microsoft. For me, I'll be looking again at Citrix's mobile ecosystem capabilities. In the months since they announced Cloud Gateway's mobile application management capabilities, we've seen all the features brought together under the MDX name and an announcement about a sandboxed mail client. We'll be watching for a tighter message around how all the pieces work together.
Synergy will be featuring its usual bevy of sessions from the community, and this year I'm happy to be joining one of those sessions. Gabe and I will be presenting The future of desktops and applications and how they all fit together, at 2:00pm on Thursday. This session bring together a lot of the ideas we cover everyday on BrianMadden.com and ConsumerizeIT.com, but with the two of us joining forces on this session, we'll cover the entire spectrum for our vision of the future.
