BriForum 2009 Chicago is starting to come together! This year's event will be Tues-Thurs, July 21-23, 2009 at the Chicago Hilton. We've launched the new BriForum.com website, and we've opened up early-bird registration for $995. (This early-bird price is valid through April 22.)
As always, Gabe and I are very interested in your thoughts, opinions, and feedback for the show. We're going to stick with four breakout rooms for three days, with the same session schedule as last year. And of course we'll have the BriForum Geek Out again this year, where Joe Shonk will come back to defend his title!
This is the first BriForum that's taking place since we updated BrianMadden.com to run on the Community Server platform. (Which, by the way, is the reason that we've now had more than two months with ZERO downtime.) One of the cool features of Community Server is that we have a very rich "group" functionality. (Check out the "My Groups" item on the "My Content" menu item after you log in.) So this year we're going to make use of that and add all the user accounts of the folks who attend BriForum to that group. There we can have private blogs, event info, private forums, etc., for everyone who attends the training conference this year. This is where we'll post the videos, presentations, tools, and utilities before they're released to the general public.
Please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or reply via the comments if you have any thoughts or ideas to share. See you in July!
