Many of you know that we have done VDI and EMM Roadshows at various cities around the world for the past eight years, and while we enjoy hitting the road and spending a morning meeting with people and talking about everything you read about here on the site, the format was starting to feel a little tired. We started talking about what we could do to change things up, and after hiring five focus groups, some serious number crunching, and nearly getting into a fistfight, we settled on one important thing:
I know, you’re probably thinking, “You can’t drink beer in the morning!” You’d be right, of course, which is why we’re moving the event to the evening as something we’re calling BrianMadden.com After Hours.
BrianMadden.com After Hours is a new series of events that will feature Jack and I talking about all things EUC. In the past we had separate shows for EMM and desktop virtualization, but as time has gone by it’s becoming more and more apparent that EMM people need to know desktop virt as much as desktop virt people need to know EMM.
Jack and I each bring a different perspective to the table, and we always have great discussions, though usually they’re on the phone. With BrianMadden.com After Hours, we’re simply moving those discussions to a bar and inviting anyone in town who wants to attend. We’ll talk about anything you want within the EUC world, including Unified Endpoint Management (the ultimate merging of our two worlds!), DaaS, Storage, Graphics, MDM, MAM, VDI, RDSH, and Windows 10.
Oh, by the way, the drinks are on us.
We couldn’t do these events without sponsors, so in addition to the conversation with Jack and I, we’re also going to be bringing sponsors to the front of the room to interview them. The goal is to make the sponsor time more interesting, too, because we all really want to get to the details about what these guys offer.
We’ve got two of these events on the calendar for this year: Washington, DC on November 17, and Minneapolis, MN on December 6. Each event will start at 5:30PM with drinks and apps, followed by presentations, networking, Q&A, and a prize drawing before adjourning at 8:15.
Jack and I are really excited about this. It’s a change of pace for the events, and it’s fun to do things like this in a more social environment. For more information and to register, check out the BrianMadden.com After Hours event page, and stay tuned for more events in 2017.
Hope to see you there!
