A lot of people are waiting for the upcoming Microsoft Windows Server code name "Longhorn" and its terminal services in particular.

This is a video of a breakout session from BriForum 2007, presented by Daniel Winkler and Christa Anderson.

Session Description: A lot of people are waiting for the upcoming Microsoft Windows Server code name "Longhorn" and its terminal services in particular. But what can we expect from the new Longhorn TS features? Are they a cost-effective solution for small or low-complexity environments? Can they act as an alternative for existing technologies in the large enterprise market? In this session you will learn about the technology behind web-based access to remote applications on Microsoft Longhorn Server. We will compare these Longhorn TS features with typical requirements regarding Web access we find in many TS projects. This will lead us to comprehensive demonstrations showing solutions programmatically extending Longhorn terminal services, solving some of the most common challenges, such as single sign-on and load-balancing.
