This is a video of a breakout session from BriForum 2007, presented by Rick Mack.
Session Description: Simply put, an operating system is a life support system for applications. Depending on how we put things together, that life support system can be good, bad, or indifferent. Building an efficient application environment ultimately requires a good understandng of how applications work, and in particular, their interaction with the operating system resources. This session will look at new and current tools for understanding application operation, managing applications and in particular methods to augment or replace application virtualization technologies.
