This is a video of a breakout session from BriForum 2007, presented by Alex Danilychev.
Session Description: This session is an introduction to delivering applications via USB media. We'll look at the various hardware choices that are available and technology beyond flash drives. This includes customizable read-only media, integrated encryption devices, fingerprint readers, etc. We'll also look at the application packages and virtualization techniques used to deliver "zero install" applications. Finally, we'll look at potential vulnerabilities and how to address them.
This presentation will provide an understanding of the behind-the-scenes processes that aid implementers of custom USB solutions and beyond.
Why you should attend this session:
- With USB devices becoming a commodity it is nice to know what device to choose (just kidding
- This presentation will provide an understanding of the behind-the-scenes processes aiding implementers of custom USB solutions and beyond
- General knowledge of virtualization steps required for “zero install” deployments can be of significant help to a much more diverse audience and broader scope
