A First Look at The Madden Report, from BriForum Europe 2007

Imagine being able to run a utility on one of your Presentation Servers that immediately told you whether your farm was configured in a "normal" way, just like everyone else's.

This is a video of a breakout session from BriForum Europe 2007, presented by Kevin Goodman, Brian Madden, and Alex Balcanquall.

Session Description: Imagine being able to run a utility on one of your Presentation Servers that immediately told you whether your farm was configured in a "normal" way, just like everyone else's.

A few years ago, Brian and Kevin were talking about an idea they had. They discussed some kind of free app that you could run on your servers that would collect information about your farm and then upload it to an anonymous database. From there you'd be able to read and view stats about other Citrix Presentation Server environments.

They're not even sure whether such an idea is feasible, but they've developed a rough framework for how it would work and a data collection engine. Let's talk about this idea and see if it's worth pursuing.
