Hopefully someone can give me a guiding light on a samll issue i have. First the environemnt:

PS4.0 RO3 Windows 2003 SP2
Client 9.15 and 10.200

I have one user who when launches the application it appears minimized to the start bar. I cannot maximise this as the restore option is greyed out.

This started happening in some clients only. I've gone over all the options and it still happening.

I'ved uninstalled and installed clients 10.150, 10.200, and 11 and still the same error.

what else can i do?

I already had installed PSE450W2K3R02 and then I installed PSE450R02W2K3040 to see if it would fix it but it did not. Our setup is as follows:

PS4.5 WI4.6 s. When I configure XAP to use Full screen only the Server desktop does load in Full screen (ALT-TAB works remotely only) but obviously the published applications we need to run seamlessly will also load Full screen.

Is it an issue running both seamless applications and a full desktop via the PNAgent Services site? Or a bug with the XAP? Or am I missing something? :-)

I am using Citrix Metaframe Presentation Server 4.0. I have selected the Common Files as my working directory. But the application icons that I can get do not look at all like the client/server application icon. In fact the best I can do is a "peach" with FAS on it. I hate to deploy this to my user community with the wrong icon. Any hints? We use ThinPrint as a print accelerator and hence our "login" web page sets up the ThinPrint client dll as an RDP addin. Again this all works fine and all of our users can print OK.

The problem we have is that on a random basis (about 1% of connection attempts) then the ThinPrint client dll is not loaded properly by IE. The result is that the ThinPrint server cannot establish a connection to the ThinPrint client and hence the user cannot print.

This happens on a completely random basis - i.e. its independent of the user, the user terminal, the terminal server they are using etc - and because our users are remote we can never debug what is happening on their workstation.

If they kill IE and re-start it then the next attempt to connect will work - so its a completely transient problem.

Has anyone else come across this sort of problem - i.e. where IE is failing to load an RDP addin?

Apologies if this has been covered before but I have been trying to work on this all day without any success.

We've recently installed Citrix Presentation Server (4.5) on top of Windows 2003 Enterprise Server (x4). Our end users will only be using a full desktop within Citrix (no published applications) and as a result I want them to logon to their desktop PC with their AD credentials which will then load a full screen Citrix desktop. Simple? I would have thought so but I can't seem to accomplish this automatically, without the end user having to change some settings with their Program Neighborhood.

I can't seem to find anything on Google, here or the Citrix knowledgebase that deals with this. I'm really just curious what I should be looking at, PNA, custom .ica files with scripting, AD group policy, .ini file configuration or Program Neighborhood shortcuts?

Can anyone point me into the right direction on this? :-)

The AccessStick looks promising, but would be costly to distribute. I would rather use an AJAX client that relied on nothing more than the web browser - similar to WebVNC, and AJAX Remote Desktop - except that I need support for a multi user environment.

Any ideas?

In our envoirement we are working with Citrix WI (4.5)
Now we have the problem that not all local devices are connected in the Citrix Java Client.
Wen we connect with the Citrix Client, the devices are connected correctly in the session.

How can I solve this issue?

In the GPO policy and Citrix Policy all device mappings are allowed to connect.

Hope someone can give me an answer.

The problem in question is that whenever we create a new Application Set for him he will have it in his Citrix Program Neighborhood for as long as he stays logged in. As soon as he logs out of his computer, and later on logs back in again, the newly created Application Set is gone.

He is the only one in our company who has this problem. I figure that since it seems to be a local client issue I will spare you with whatever we have on the server side, but if you have any questions, shoot. The client is a Windows XP and they do not use roaming profiles/everything is stored locally on the clients.

Any ideas on what to do?

Have a couple of content redirection issues that I have resolved by removing the /q attribute in my Office Content redirection.

In powerpoint, a lot of ppts were opening up blank presentations, and in word, password protected documents were flashing briefly the password box, before going to a blank document.

Have searched the documentation but can't find anything explaing the /q.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE" /q "%*"

Can anyone explain what is the purpose of the two tags after the exe, and whether removing the /q will have any knock on effects.

I'm using PS 4.0 with PNA 10.1 at present. Have tested the problems under 10.2 and they still exist, so it's not apparently a PNA issue.
