Raytheon just launched Trusted Access Mobile, which uses a technology called virtual mobile infrastructure (VMI). VMI is just like VDI, except with Android virtual machines. Trusted access mobile is aimed at high-security markets like government, healthcare, and finance, but like VDI, it brings a lot of other benefits. The intention isn't to replace mobile device management or mobile app management, but rather to work alongside it to provide secure remote access to applications without any data living on the device.
