BriForum 2016: London in May, Boston in July

Lots of people have been asking about BriForum 2016. We don't have all the details finalized yet, but I can tell you what we know for sure now: BriForum 2016 London will be in late May (after Synergy).

Lots of people have been asking about BriForum 2016. We don't have all the details finalized yet, but I can tell you what we know for sure now:

  • BriForum 2016 London will be in late May (after Synergy).
  • BriForum 2016 US will be in Boston, in late July.

We should have the contracts with the venues finalized in the next few weeks and then we can announce all the specific details. Overall though they'll be pretty much the same as they've been in the past several years.

2016 will be our 19th and 20th BriForums. Hopefully Tim will submit for both and then we'll be able to buy him a "20-for-20" presenter gift. I don't know what that will be, but it will have to be twice as awesome as the custom bobble heads we gave our "10-for-10" speakers at the 10th BriForum. (We had 5 speakers—Tim, Shawn (correction, not Shawn.. Jeroen!), Benny, Ron, and me—who spoke at all 10 of the first 10 BriForums. Now we're down to just two—Tim and me.) My vote is for a Tesla for each of us but I don't know if we'll get the budget for that.

We'll open up the call for papers on January 5th, so start thinking about topics you'd like to submit to present. As for the general focus of the events, what would you like to see this year? I assume they'll be pretty much the same as past years, with focus on desktop virtualization as well as enterprise mobility. But if you have any specifics you'd like to see, let us know in the comments here.

It was Jeroen Van de Kamp, and not Shawn.  Shawn did attend the first, however, without speaking.

I hope it's the small Tesla.

Wrt London. If you are staying with Etc venues; please, please, please choose their Bishopsgate site. So much more accessible with the major transport links!
