J. Tyler "t-rex" Rohrer is the Founder and COO of Liquidware Labs - A software+methodology VDI startup which recently commenced operations with the purchase and re-focus of industry darling vmSight. Laser focused on VDI Assessment, Design, Deployment + Management tools.
Previously, Tyler led VMware's Enterprise Desktop Solutions on the East Coast - focusing on VDI and Application Virtualization among the companies largest Global Customers. Prior to that, he was the Senior Marketing Manager for the newly released VMware VDI product group in Silicon Valley, CA.
He comes to VMware by and through their acquisition of FOEDUS in January 2008. Going back to 2003, FOEDUS was the the Global Leader in Virtualization Professional Services and methodology. Mr. Rohrer was a founding partner and board member of FOEDUS. He worked with VMware's premier accounts assessing, designing, deploying, and enabling the management of VDI and core virtualization projects.
He brings with him a 12 year history in the technology sector dating back to working with IBM Global Services, among other Enterprise Accounts on large scale hardware, software, and solutions projects. Tyler has been founding, developing, and investing in both real estate and other business ventures dating back to 1989, and it is anticipated that his track record of success, energy, creativity, and enchantment with VDI will assist LWL in executing the plans above expectations.
Tyler speaks nationally on the topic of desktop and application virtualization. He blends his background in Economics and Finance, Theoretical Physics, and Technology to bring the present and future state of the desktop into focus.
