I once had a Citrix engineer tell me that I could join a Windows7 box to my XenApp farm and publish its applications.  Can someone please point me to documentation on how to do this?

I would prefer to not stream the application, or publish the entire win7 box as a VDI.

My college has an ancient legacy app, that absolutely will not run on a 64bit machine, it must be 32bit.  Hence the need for Win7.

Thank you!

The engineer was referring to VM Hosted Applications.  I believe this is supported in Citrix Xenapp 5.0FP2 and up.  Bascially it uses some of the infrastructure of XenDesktop to allow you to publish an application from a Windows 7 machine.  It is worth noting that the only thing this will really be sharing is the Web Interface server which is how users will be able to acccess it.  Meaning there will be a seperate management console.  Also this entails a one to one relationship for your user's so if it is enterprise wide you will need a lot of Windows 7 desktops.  Application Streaming may be another direction to look at.  I have included a link below to explain VM Hosted Apps and the setup from Citrix.
