It seems as of late, these forums are no longer usable. SPAM posts have taken over. It is extremely difficult to find useful information, or to assist people with questions as the SPAM posts take front and center.
Perhaps it is time for these forums to be retired?
To prove my point, I had to go through 9 pages of SPAM to get to the first legit post, 11 to get back to this one.
Agreed, I haven't logged into this site for a long time and I think this will be my last posting. So long all, way to let a good thing go bad....
Hey guys,
We've tried many ways of dealing with it with our platform, and we're out of automatic options aside from just having us moderate them manually. We're looking into alternative forum platforms, but in the meantime, there are now two people that will check the forums at least once each per day and remove recent spam.
I definitely understand your frustration, and I appreciate that it comes from the fact that you want to be on here helping people (and being helped, of course). We'll do what we can in the short term to make that a little easier, and in the long term we'll come up with a better solution.
Thanks for all you've done and for your patience, and especially for staying on us about it. We receive high priority alerts from this particular forum, so keep the feedback coming.

How has it been lately, guys? We've been trying to be more vigilant with regards to the spam. We also have an action item to modernize the forums (more appropriate titles, for instance) sometime in the next few months. Our first goal is get ConsumerizeIT and BrianMadden.com merged, then we'll get to that.
I actually have noticed LESS spam in the recent couple of weeks and have in fact been making much more user of the forums lately. I would hate to see them disappear. I have found good information here.
I'm definitely seeing less SPAM and more user questions, so whatever you are doing seems to be working.
Well, the forums have become unusable again due to the SPAM.
