Hi,

We are trying out some cheap thin clients, but have run into an issue with our Datalogic Bar Code Scanners.

The clients have Windows CE 5.0 on them and when we plug the device into the thin client we get "Unidentified USB Device". We are able to plug in keyboard, mouse and even usb thumb drive, but it does not recognise the bar code scanner.

These scanners do work on our existing HP thin clients so obviously there is some driver missing from the new thin clients

If anyone can suggest how to correct this so that we can pass through the USB device it would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have not enough expertise to answer your question but I offer you two ways to solve your problem. One is you can google your problem like USB barcode scanner + forum. The other is to send request e-mail to support teams of some professional barcode websites. I once solved my problem using the second method. So good luck!

Barcode Reader for .NET in recommended for you.

BizCode Barcode Reader for .NET SDK support many commonly-used linear and matrix barcode symbologies covering several industries, including ISO/IEC specified Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, GS1 specified EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A and UPC-E, as well as popular two-dimensional / 2D barcodes Data Matrix, QR Code and PDF-417.

Hope it helps!

Several barcode scanners that i've used in the past have had special "programming" barcodes you can scan to change the modes they work in, you might just need to hook it up to another device to reprogram.

My suggestion is RE imaging SDK ,which provides comprehensive visual c# codes for barcode scanning.RE Barcode Reader supports high speed, accurate reading for over 100 different 1D and 2D barcode symbologies (types) and sub-types.
