We've upgraded our SA from Enterprise to Platinum licenses. So, I plan on going from License Server ver 6.6.0 to the latest 11.10. I understand that once I've got the new license file on the Licensing server, I need to change the Server Edition on each XenApp server and reboot. I'm reading a Citrix Blog post that says that I also must install the latest HRP to do the change in Server Edition. I'd rather re-couple that install from the Licensing change, if possible, to limit the troubleshooting that I need to to after the change is complete. We're currently on (don't yell at me!) HRP 3. Will my farm function if I install the new License Server 11.10, update the license file to Platinum, and change the Server Edtion on each XenApp server? Forgot to add, we're running 4.5 on Server 2003.
You should be fine, the licensing server is generally backwards compatible, i.e. we've still got some PS4 working with the 11.9 edition of the licensing server.
