Hi

We have a Server 2008 R2 server configured as a RD licensing server for our XenApp 6.5 farm. When a XenApp session is started would it be expected the issued count on the RD licensing to be incremented? No matter how many sessions are initiated the count is zero on the RD licensing server. We have licenses installed and there are no errors or grace period notifications. Does the reporting/check out usually work?

Thanks.

You referring to Citrix licensing or Microsoft licensing?

Citrix licensing is very particular, make sure the version of your license server supports your XenApp server implementation.  I had issues with Citrix Provisioning services not checking out licenses and it was due to the license server version.

Thanks for the reply.

The Citrix licensing side of things is fine. It is the RD CAL licenses that are not checking out. It always states I have 100% of licenses available, even though we have a number of sessions to the XenApp farm. The XenApp servers are definitely looking at the correct RD licnese server

What type of CAL licenses do you have?  What are your Terminal Servers set to utilize?

Might be a little drastic but remove the TS license server from your Terminal Server; see if your server complains in event viewer of not finding a license server.
