Hello, we are currently using a program called ishadow (http://www.ishadow.com/) to shadow 2003 TS clients. Although we have half dozen servers in the farm, ishadow presents them in one neat list. We can view and control. There is even a clandestine mode.

What is the best way to do this on 2008 R2 RDS? We are moving to this platform within a month or so. There must be something new out there, or something built in.

How is the rest of the world connecting to and controlling remote desktop sessions for user troubleshooting, etc.. The clandestine part is a nice feature and although we don't use it much, there have been some security issues that necessitated it.

Many Thanks, Aristotle Zoulas

I have a farm of 10 W2K3 servers and need my Help Desk to monitor/manage the connections.  I created a batch file which imports an export of the registry from [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\TSADMIN] and then launches tsadmin.exe.  This will auto create the list of favorite Terminal Servers, all you need to do it highlight "Favorite Servers" and you see all connections.  Anytime I add a new Terminal Server, I export the key again from my own workstation and update their location.

I am in the process of moving to W2K8 and have not tested it but I really hope this same idea applies.

Hope this is the idea you were looking for and helps.
