I have Xenapp 6 with Host to client redirection configured on our farm along with several other polices. All policies except Host to Client redirection are functioning.
In PS4.5 I could place a shortcut to an URL on the server and it would open up on the client.
Xenapp 6 does not behave the same way. it will open up the URL on the server.
I can get it to open up on the client if I use the following command on the server
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\system32\iexplore.exe" Http://www.bestbuy.com/"
however this won't work for URLs embbed in Email, Word, or Excel.
I have looked for anwsers on the Citrix forums but have had no success.
Anyone have any ideas?
it depends on whether the app calls IE or not, and whether the client is able to contact the web server. Have you verified the exact same url works on the client directly?

The Url is accessable on the client, and the shortcut to the URL is opening in IE on the server correctly. I have embedded links into word and it does not transfer to the client, however they open correctly on the server.

Make sure you have flash version 10.1 on the client, the 12.1 citrix client, and policies setup for the flash redirection.
