Our environment:

(2) Xenapp 5.0 servers
(1) Web Interface 5.3 + Citrix Secure Gateway 3.2 server on same box
(1) DB server

I re-registered xml port 81. Confirmed this through netstat & Delivery console. XML connection in Delivery Services console is set to trusted. I added the IP of the WI server to my local hosts file.

WI loads via https://citrix.companyname.com:444. Already installed wildcard .ssl cert. I cannot login to launch any application.

Error 1:

Site path: c:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\XenApp.

All the Citrix XML Services configured for farm xxx failed to respond to this XML Service transaction. Unique Log ID: 8ddccd8

Error 2:

Site path: c:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\XenApp.

An error occurred while attempting to connect to the server x.x.x.x on port 81. Verify that the Citrix XML Service is running and is using the correct port. If the XML Service is configured to share ports with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), verify that IIS is running. This message was reported from the XML Service at address https://x.x.x.x:81/scripts/wpnbr.dll. The specified Citrix XML Service could not be contacted and has been temporarily removed from the list of active services. Unique Log ID: e18d6b2a

IIS is running port 80 & 444 (SSL). I've searched the forums and tried several different things (trusting xml connection, changing farm1 name to actual farm name, etc..), but no such luck. I can telnet to xml port 81 from WI to Xenapp server.

I need to have this tested before moving to the DMZ.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

First of all, if the CSG service is running properly, you should be able to load the WI by going to https://citrix.companyname.com

You should not need to specify a different port, which is particularly important for users coming from the outside. The CSG should redirect the request to the proper SSL port on IIS. What error messgae (if any) do you get when trying to launch an application? Do you have the WI site configured for Gateway Direct, rather than the default of Direct?

Why is it called "Common Sense"? It doesn't seem all that common!
