Has anyone seen this before. Last week we had a user call getting a license error. He was using a legacy app that still requires Windows 2k so it is in a PS 4 farm. After looking into the problem I decided to hard code the license server in the registry. After doing this he was able to grab a license and login. I saw in the license manager that the proper license was issued.
I was looking at it again today and I noticed that the server is still issuing TS licenses correctly but I am still seeing the 1010, TermService event in the logs stating "The terminal services could not locate a license server. Confirm that all license servers on the network are registered in WINS\DNS, accepting network requests, and the Terminal Services Licensing Service is running".
Like I said it appears to be working fine but still logging this message. All research leads you to broken network connectivity or hard coding the license server name. The Citrix server and license server are on the same domain and vlan. Just wondering.
Thanks,
Jim
