We have a particular user who's profile is getting locked on a few citrix servers, Other servers are ok.
He will logon be fine then try log on later and if hits same server get profile errors. On investigating the profile on the citrix server is locked and we cannot free or rename. It only becomes free by rebooting the server. So it appears citrix is locking the profile, We cannot find any background process locking the profile. His local and master profile has been recreated and still problem comes back. It looks like index.dat could be causing this.
Has anyone seen this before.
This might be a couple of things, the user profile is corrupt or is very large and does not complete the logoff process.
Do you have UPHClean installed?

Are the Servers hosted in VMware?
Can you see what file is locking profile (delete all files in profile to see the one that cannot be deleted)?
Seems to hidden file index.dat. That is locked this seems strange as not all servers
