In XenApp 5.0 I noticed that the user name is not included in the printer name for the Autocreated printers.

This is a problem when you try to troubleshoot printing issues 0n a server with many users connected.

I noticed this too  - the user name isn't shown.

I have NEVER seen the username appear in a printer name. Unless this is a new feature in XA 5, I wouldn't expect to see it there.  Just the client name.

Why is it called "Common Sense"? It doesn't seem all that common!

well there is a difference between 4.0 and XA 5.0. In th 4.0 even though the username doesnt appear it would give you the Session number in which the printer was set and all the events are logged under ctx_smaUser

In XA 5.0 it just mentions that Printer X was set and doesnt give you any session number which might be a problem when troubleshooting printer issues and all the events are logged under SYSTEM.

At least with 4.0 you can look at the console and see the Session number of the user and co-relate it to the event log on the server.

I just checked my client printer, logging into a CPS4 session and also a XenApp5 session.  Both sessions show just my printer name, client name and session number.  No mention of my user name on the CPS4 session.

Mark, that is exactly what I would expect. For either version.

Don't know why I initially thought the user name used to be listed too. Oh well.  Been a long day.
