Hi all,

I have a quick question about Terminal Services audio in Windows 2008 STandard SP2 (not R2).

Does anyone know if it is possible to capture/record audio from a Windows XP Embedded thin client on the adove TS platform?

I know it is possible in R2 with the latest remote desktop client but I'm desperately trying to avoid upgrading the server platform and all clients!

Thanks again for any help provided.

Regards

Alastair

Hmmm, I don't think you can do this before Windows 7 / R2.

However, is this worth a try:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp

fDisableAudioCapture     REG_DWORD     0x00000000

Hi Mark, Sorry for not replying sooner, have been working from outside the country for another customer for a little while. Thanks for your input here, I have a test server I can apply this to and will see how this behaves. Will report back as soon as I know! Cheers Alastair
