I am very new to Citrix.  I have a load balanced farm with 2 servers running PS 4.5.

Users access the farm via a Web Interface.  I have IE published so that users can access the corporate Intranet.  I noticed users are also using IE to browse network drives and folders... I am kinda fine with that because it's all internal users, but they are also launching applications from IE.

How do I restrict users from browsing to a file and launching the associated application?  Doing so counter acts load balancing.

You can block sites, shares, etc through internet options - trusted sites - add it and block it.  It would probably be better to do it through AD Policy applied to your Citrix OU.

The users need to browse to shared project drives on various file servers.  I just don't want them to be able to launch or execute applications from Internet Explorer.  I can't remove execute permissions from files because non-citrix users also access the same file servers.  Is there an Explorer like program that I can use that doesn't have an application execute feature?
