We have citrix 4.5 env. IMA service is coming up on citrix server. It's showing STARTING status but not coming up. It gave the following error:-

"Couldn't start the Citrix Independent Management Architecture Service on  Local Computer.   Error 1053:  The service did not respond to the start or control  request  in a timely fashion."

Neither "Citrix SMA Service" or "Citrix  WMI Service" is running. Both are in STOPPED state.

I can see couple of Errors  Error code: 2005(CitrixHealthMon) in Eventviewer.

dsmaint verifylhc is showing the following result:-

"The LHC integrity has been verified successfully."

I recreated LHC, however no success.. Unable to start IMA, WMI or SMA service.

In registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\IMA\Runtime\CurrentlyLoadingPlugin) value specified is "ImaSrvSs.dll"

Please advice.

I tried after stopping the print spooler and Citrix Print Manager however, no success.  It gave the same error and showing Citrix IMA in STARTING status.

It has also put the Citrix MFCOM service in STARTING state.

Do you have any other events in the event log that would help to troubleshoot the problem?

For now, have a look at these articles:

I will check the other events and will update in the forum...

Just to add, I restarted the citrix server however the service is still in STARTING state and issue is still there.
