Hello!

I have an old IBM BladeCenter HS 20 with several blade-servers

inside.

Each server has Xeon 3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB RAID1 .

I plan to install Windows 2003 and Citrix XenApp 4.5 on them.

In general how many office 2003 users can work comfortably

per server?

Thank you!

Memory is going to be your limiting factor.

The exact number is hard to say, but I would think less than 20 comfortably.

With Office running on these older servers keep an eye on your disk. It can become a bottleneck as well. Does the raid controller have adequate read/write cache set to 50/50?
