I've had a request to publsih an internet site, however they need IE locking down so that users can access only the site published ond no other web sites.

I know I can Hide the address bar and disable the search bar through Group policies but this will then be tied down to users and not the published application itself. The problem here is that if I tie it down by Group policy and a list of users then this will effect other Internet Explorer Web links for the users specified which may cause problems with some of them.

Does anyone know of a way of published the app so that it goes directly to that web site an no other?

You could assign a machine policy assigned to your Citrix Server GPO instead of user policy.

As ever thanks for the replies guys. Looks like I need to do this for users not machines, I will be looking through those links Alan.

I have another related question........

As a workaround I have written a script which hides the Address Bar and disables internet options.

The problem I have is that the Registry is restricted for the users by an Existing Group policy !!

Is there a technique to apply the registry settings even though the Registry is restricted for users?

Alan, also want to mention that the web site I am trying to lock down is an 'Internet' web site and not 'Intranet', so I do not think I can use the Dummy Proxy Method.

If its an Internet site, can't you just publish it as content and let the user's local browser take over?

If you put that internet site in as an exception within the same policy, you should be all set with dumby proxy addresses.
