This is a strange one ! and it's probably something very simple

yet im to simple to work it out.

I've disabled auto client printer creation via Citrix Policy.

However what im seeing in the Eventlogs is failed to Intialise printer

errors. Which is fine .. cannot find suitable driver .. dont intialise.

however !! it appears when say a File\Print server does any sort of

authentication it attempts to map it's printers aswell ??

This can be up to 150 entries .. and it can upset the spooler with 150

failed intialise messages within 1 second timeframe !!

I trace back the security log to see who it was .. and it's always

a server account. fileserver$  ... now I understand that this account

may from time to time depending on the request need to auth against the

Citrix server .. but how do I stop it trying to bring it's printers ??

This behaviour is only seen at 1 of our sites ! luckily not our major datacentre

just one of our smaller sites which has a local File\Print. a local DC and 3x Citrix servers.

Is there somewhere in Group Policy I need to set rules against machine accounts ? I originally thought it was because Group Policy for the Citrix servers was not applying to Domain Controllers .. but it appears it is.

Any help our guidance would be appreciated !
