Hi,Anyone know if there is a way to force all printing to a color "client printer" to print in Black-and-White?I changed all the drivers on the "server printers" to print in black-and-white, but cannot figure out how to do it with the client printers.Other than Mapping all of them to a black-and-white driver. I guess I could do that, but there are MANY, and not all color printers have black-and-white drivers available.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Ron
I think I understand what you are trying to achieve, but I honestly think you are going to create more problems than good by messing around with all of these print drivers in the farm. It seems like an administrative nightmare.
You might have other reasons or answers to achieve what you are trying as well. I would educate your users to print to the proper printer ie, B/W or Color and let the hardware and proper drivers do the work.
Dan's right where are you going to control this, HKCU, HKLM, Citrix UPS, Print Servers? Also as you said, not sure there are non colour drivers available for printers. The only way I know is ThinPrint, or at the printer level.

I am having a similar problem. Our print server used to be Windows 2000 and it worked fine. I could change the Advanced Printing Defaults and it would push those defaults to the users when the session printers were created.
I have recently created a new print server that is Windows 2003 and those color printers have the same defaults on the server, but the users are not seeing the correct settings.
Any ideas?
