I'm designing a small XenApp5 farm for 15-20 users normal load, 50 users max (in case of a DR event.) eventually expanding to cover 150.  I have an MS VL/SA agreement and do not have a problem adding a new server.  All servers are in a VMware cluster, snapshotted, backed up and SAN replicated to a remote location, and I'm not terribly worried about an hour of downtime.  All servers will be Win2K3 R2 Standard.  I plan to use SQL 2005 Express for now but I can use full SQL 2005 if recommended.  Here is the layout:

Server1: datastore (SQL2005 Express) and licensing server on IIS
Server2: Web Interface only
Server3: Citrix Presentation Server for apps
Server4: Citrix Presentation Server for apps
Server5: Citrix Presentation Server for desktops
Server6: Citrix Presentation Server for desktops
CAG cluster in a DMZ

I was thinking of installing the AAC on Server1 with a new SQL2005 Express instance.  Where is the recommended location?

You can either install on Server1 or maybe Server2. I would leave the aac on the trusted lan.
