I would like to gather some perspectives from other virtualization enthusiests on Virtualizing Virtualization in a mixed brand enviroment:

I prefer to virtualize servers that will virtualize applications, desktops or network services within the same product lines. This tends to benifit the entire infrastructure. Perfect example is XenServer and XenApp playing well and performing well.

Personal experience has led me to believe that I will not get any added benifits (let alone "performance") from using outside, 3rd party virtualization methods (such as VMWare). It may work but it COULD work better in my opinion sticking with Citrix on Citrix

Are there products out there that make virtualization better? Sure. And I use them. But only if its an obvious no-brainer and adds value to my investment.
