How do I go about installing a local printer on a thin client? I have a Wyse S30 thin client and an HP Deskjet 3940 that I would like to use as a local printer. I would be connecting via USB. I want the printer to appear as my default printer once I am connected to my Citrix Desktop using the Web Interface. BTW - this a a Presentation Server 4.0 farm. Thanks.

The WYSE S30 has WindowsCE on it if I remember correctly. WYSE should have instructions for installing a local printer on it. It should be fairly straight forward.

As far as Citrix is concerned, it doesn't care if your client is a thin client or a fat client. It just needs to have the printer installed on the client. You can use Citrix policy to make the default client printer be the default printer in Citrix.

We use the HP thin clients and install 3 print drivers as part of our image.  If someone has one of the 3 printers it is installed and they get to print.  Fairly straight forward.

Anyone use IGELs as their Thin Clients? Would like to do something similar also on these.

The WYSE TCs were case sensitive. You had to type the name of the driver installed EXACTLY as it showed up as on the citrix server. Otherwise it gets a little upset.

Have been using IGELS as my Thin Client for testing - its a good product and allows you to change the Write access of the client (within the IGEL Setup - under Administrator logon) make your changes and then put the Read/lock access back on it again. IGEL uses profiles to setup Language/Display/Printer setup; pretty easy and nifty product.
