I have several Wyse 9235 with XP embedded, attached to these are HP laserjet 1012 printers. When these connect to the Windows 2003 SP2 terminal servers it will create serveral printers of the same printer.

Hp LaserJet 1012 (from admin-a)session 6,1

HP LaserJet 1012(from admin-a)session 6,2

there could be up to 4 or 5 of these. I cannot delete them, if the user logs off and reconnects they are still there. The only way to get rid of them is to reboot the server. Any ideas why this is happening?

It sounds like it could be a mismatched driver from the client to what is on the server.  Can you see if it is the same driver or not?

It is the same driver. They are able to print as long as there is only one printer created

Check in your Citrix policies to see if "printer properties retention" is configured under Printing -> Client Printers.
