Hi
Under PSE4.0 I had a policy which would map a local default printer to your citrix session if you were a member of a set AD group.
After installing a new farm for PSE4.5 (xenapp5) I copied the settings from the policy into the new farm.
Tested and the local default client printer is not mapped. I used to use the MFcfg util to modify what could be mapped, but this is now no longer available.
HELP
How can I get this working, what could be stopping the client printer being auto-created.
Thanks
Dave
This may be a stupid question, but did you install the latest printer driver for this Client printer?
The reason for asking, is that it could be that the new driver has one small letter og one big LETTER somewhere where the old one didn't have it and drivernames are cAsEsEnSiTiVe...
You can "map" the drivers in the Citrix Mamagement Console in 4.5 also, under Printer Management -> Drivers (Right click) -> Mapping, if this is the problem...
Hope this helps and that I didn't misunderstood your question...
On the old farm I never had to install any drivers for the rather random set of client printers. As it was only for a small section (10-15users) of our company, and generally only used via the web access route so they could print at home.
I will try with my test setup and see if that makes any difference
HI
found the issue!
The local user ctx_cpsvcuser account didn't get created correctly on the ICA listener port. checked the permissions for it and they were all ok, so re-added to the ica listener and now working ok.... CTX 106683 pointed me in the right direction.
