Hi All,
We're deploying a new environment with App-v 4.5 streaming applications to desktop users and Citrix servers.
The applications have all sequenced ok and are working great on all desktops.
We have installed the App-V for Terminal Services client onto one Citrix server for testing and if we log into that server as a local administrator the applications appear perfectly and work great the same as on the desktop.
If we log into the server as a published desktop, with a standard user account (non administrator), we do not get the streamed (app-V) applications.
We can get to the sftcmc.msc console and run it and see the applications, but not get them on the start menu or desktop.
If we now publish the OSD files using Citrix Access Gateway, the applications work perfectly.
My problem is that this would require publishing every single icon on the start menu which would be a significant management overhead. It also does not pick up the correct icons.
Every page I've read on this suggests that the App-V/Softgrid software should just publish to the user and we should just give them the published desktop only.
I did not build the Citrix servers, but we have reviewed the group policies and cannot see anything prohibiting the deployment.
The servers are W2k3 running Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and using App-V 4.5 to deploy.
Any suggestions please?
Many Thanks
Steve
