Now that the SecurID agent 7.0.1 is available for Windows 2008, I uninstalled the web interface 5.0.1 and Secure Gateway 3.1 from my server.
I installed the SecurID agent, setup the agent host on the RSA Authentication Manager and am able to test successfully through the RSA Security Center on the WI server.
I installed WI 5.0.1, Secure GW 3.1 and it works without two-form factor authentication enabled. Enabling two form factor authentication returns this error on the web interface logon page:
An authentication error has occurred. Contact your system administrator. Log ID: 2442a42f
This error is in the Application log:
There was a problem with the RSA SecurID Agent. Check that it is installed correctly. [Log ID: 2442a42f]
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hmm, I have not tested this yet, but I am going to soon and I will let you know how I get on. My best bet is to try WI 5.1.1

Did you ever get it working? I have the same issue, works fine when testing from the RSA Security COnsole, but can not login via Citrix WI.

I never did but it's still on my radar. It's as if the RSA agent won't "hook" into the site. I suspect it's an IIS7.0 undocumented feature. Microsoft eliminated some of the accounts created for IIS.
Exactelly i turned on real time logging in RSA and tested authentication and as far as RSA is concerned the request is not getting there. I dont think WI is communicating at all with the 7.0.1 RSA Client.

It used to be that the SecurID agent had to be installed prior to installing Web Interface or some registry settings would get screwed up. I wonder if it's something along those lines. Might be worth firing up Process Monitor.

I tried that as well, installing RSA then Web Interface and it gave the same results.I emailed the issue to the Citrix UK Web Interface team to see if they have a fix for this issue and or when they will. I will post any info i get here that helps to resolve the issue when i get it.

At this point WI 5.1.1 on Windows 2008 does not work with RSA Agent 7.0.1. I think we will have to wait for the next release of WI.
Just tested with WI 5.1.2 and RSA SecurID 7.0.1 - no dice. Not sure if I am missing a step on Server 2008. Did someone raise a ticket with Citrix?
