CITRIX ENGINEERS Needed
OVERVIEW
Build, manage, and troubleshoot multiple large Citrix Xpe/CPS4 farms. Familiar with multi zone multi location server farms. Ability to automate management and distribution processes. Extensive knowledge with Microsoft infrastructure technologies including: DHCP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory 2003, Group Policy Objects.
Familiarity with operating system and application deployments using Altiris, HP Client Automation and other deployment solutions. Mentor junior administrators. Lead and coordinate small to medium scale projects. Tune and configure the OS kernel and networking parameters. Provide tactical troubleshooting of system problems with support of senior technicians. Provide ongoing operation/support of enterprise-wide applications, policies, and technology in the server, client environment.
Configure, deploy, and maintain infrastructure; interfaces with vendors as needed. Monitor systems performance and capacity and advise higher level technicians/supervisor of system status. Participate in planning and execution of new systems implementation/deployment. Assist in the installation, customization and maintenance of new systems or software.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Provide pre-sales technical sales support to prospective accounts
· Provide pre-sales and technical support/training to VARs
· Evangelist to senior business and technology decision-makers
· Drive sales with technical expertise, project management of trials/evaluations, account management skills, sales ability and a superior customer focus.
· Provide post-sales 2nd level support to key customers.
Essential Knowledge:
· Deep working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000 platform, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP and Active Directory. (MCSE is a highly desired.)
· In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Services and the Citrix Environment. (CCA or CCEA is a must).
· Individual must be able to present recent Citrix and Microsoft Certifications.
· Strong LAN/WAN networking environments
· High-level knowledge of frequently-used Windows applications
· Hands-on knowledge/experience with Windows troubleshooting tools (e.g. – registry, sysinternals)
· Understanding of the complete sales and project life cycle
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Solid presentation skills; able to effectively communicate technical information to all levels of an organization, anticipating, researching and answering specific design and functional questions
· 3+ years experience in a technical role supporting Windows desktop or server based computing environments
· “Self learner” - eager to continually expand product and technology knowledge
· “Self-starter” with demonstrated strong time and project management skills
Minimum Education Requirements:
· 4-year college degree (BS degree preferred)
Travel
Travel requirements will vary from moderate (25-40%) to heavy (50%+) during active tradeshow/seminar periods. Some international travel is required.
Compensation/ Remuneration
Candidate will receive a project by project fee for the first three (3) months. After the probation period is completed and evaluation is satisfactory. Candidate will receive an annual salary, benefits and bonuses.
