Hi,

I've found the EdgeSight 5 SP2 software on the downloads page but this appears to be the full software installation.
I just want the SP2 upgrade for EdgeSight 5 SP1.

Anyone know where I can find it and the instructions for upgrading?

Thanks

This is all I have:

I was going to do an inplace install.  It should detect that an upgrade is about to take place and not a new install.

Complete the upgrade this morning.  It did detect that an existing ES installation was present and the upgrade completed.  Once you connect back to the ES website, it will want to reload all the reports.  I think the most painful part of the process is to upgrade the agents.

Hi Alain,

Can you let me know the procedure to upgrade the agents?

I did a full uninstall of the old agent (reboot) and then a reinstall of the new agent (reboot).

What does the new agent give?

Any additional functions?

A couple (http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX120456), but unless you are experiencing problems maybe no need to upgrade.

I need to update the agents because on some reports they are not providing data.

Hi there,

Just to confirm guys....once the upgrade from ES V5 SP1 to ES V5 SP2 took place an unistall of the agent (PS) and a reinstall reconnected to the SQL database and all reports and historical data was present?

I tell you why I ask...the ES V5 SP1 was put in using Enterprise Eval licenses, yeah I know and later the required Platinum licences were installed onto the licence server. I suspect that even if the agents connect to the Platinum licences they will only retain "basic" functionality without the uninstall then a reinstall.

Thanks in advance for any opinions expressed.

You may lose your subscribed reports, but the monitoring profiles stay.  We've upgraded the server several times and always seem to lose the subscribed reports.

As long as you are running Platinum licenses, the agents should move over to advanced mode.

Hi there,

Thanks to everyone one replied, especially the information on the agents.

Now onto V5.2.1. I'll post any gotchas that I come across.
