Hi All,

We are attempting to run a POC of XenDestop utilizing our existing Vmware 3.5 infrastructure and are running into an issue. When trying to create a desktop gropu via the Access Management Console we get to step four, "Logon Infromation" for our hosting infrastrucutre. When typing in the url of https://vmware and using the user name and password I receive an error stating "The hosting infrasctructure could not be reached at the specified address". I have tried setting the proxy.xml to allow both http and https connections, imported the Certificate and created the host file entry for "vmare" on the DDC. Can anyone offer some additional suggestions to try to resolve the issue?

TIA,

-Jason

Hey Cluade,

I did find a work around for this issue. Below are the steps I took to resolve it:

1. Created a host file entry that resolved vmare to the IP address of my VirtualCenter Server

2. Imported the certificate from the VirtaulCenter Server (%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Applicaiton Data\VMware\VMware VirtaulCenter\SSL\rui.crt) into the trusted root authority for the local machine (used the Certificate MMC to accomplish this).

After that I was good to go!
