hey guys, i have a 70 server citrix mps4(rollup 4) farm and a few days ago my RM started acting up. i talked to every1 else and no1 made any changes. RM doesn't seem to be getting to my sql box.(same subnet and no firewall between) while on the Summary Database tab in resource manager, my status is as follows: CHECK - database connection server configured CHECK - farm metric servers configured correctly RED X- Database connection error CHECK - All updates over the last 24 hour cycle or since the last update now have been successful i look into the summary database configuration and its enabled with the correct DCS i've been using for a few years. i re-entered the SQL login account(not using domain\account) and when i click test, the test report is all Green Checked boxes. CHECK - Server is up CHECK - summary database software ok CHECK - DSN defined CHECK - Database accessible When i look in the "view server log", it does seem to be importing summary files from my servers. but i still have the RED X in the status as described above. i check my DCS and the ODBC connection is still configured the same and i've gone through it again to check and it all tested ok. Here is what the 4 buttons look like in the Summary Database window: GREYED OUT - Sleep Wake GREYED OUT - Update now Configure I'm not a sql dba but after looking at the SQL database server(also hosts the Citrix datastore) everything look ok to my eyes. but i could be wrong.
