howdy all,

our farm has both installed apps and many that are just copied

over exe's. We would like to have a way to inventory all the

published apps, the servers they are on and the app versions.

anyone have a solution for this?

thanks in advance.

Yep, you got it!  I was just about to reply on that.  One thing to be aware of is any reports that depend on Resource Manager will not be available unless you have Platinum or Enterprise licenses, but you should be able to run with one that displays published apps either way, I think.

we  have enterprise and it ran fine. my boss, god love him, wants something that tells us the versions of each exe it reports on but he said if we don't have it then we don't have it. i don't think it does this, do you know if a plug in or something would be available?

There are plenty of commercial software applications that will inventory your software. On ad-based app that provide basic software inventory functionality is spiceworks.com
