Hi,

on our new Windows 2003 R2 x64 - CPS 4.5 x64 R03 we have these errors in the event log:

Event Type:    Error
Event Source:    Citrix Configuration Logging
Event Category:    None
Event ID:    4

Failed to connect to the logging database. The database returned the following error: 'The instance of SQL Server you attempted to connect to does not support encryption.'.

What happens?

Hi,

When you run through the wizard in the AMC for configuration logging, you need to clear the checkbox that says "use encryption".

A quote from the CPS 4.5 FP1 Admin Guide:

"Note: When you use SQL Server, the Use encryption connection option in the wizard is enabled by default. If your database does not support encryption, you must disable this option."
