I manage a 30 server PS4 farm. These servers are virtualized (ESX 3.5) Windows 2003 Standard SP2 servers.

I support about 300 users. They access the published apps and desktop servers using a WI portal. There is a 50/50 mix of fat and thin clients.

I have a user who swears that their Wyse S30 thin client is running slower than their coworkers' PCs. The users' co-workers are using HP DX2000 fat clients to access the portal.

Is there a reason that a fat client would perform better than a thin client running the same published app through the portal? We are trying to move away from fat clients and have a primarily thin client environment. Thanks.
