Hi,
We're planning to move our Web Interface & license server from a physical blade to a virtual server.
Anything that we should be aware of with using virtual servers for Citrix?
Thanks
Hi Ben,
We have our webinterface and license server installen on VMware and so far never had any problems with it. Make sure you applie enough memory to it, that was the only thing we had to addept because we started with to little.

thanks, the physical server is currently running 4GBs RAM, but I'm guessing that's a bit of overkill for a virtual server?
I have Licensing, Web Interface, Zone Data collectors & Secure Gateway Servers in VMware.
No problems at all. We have about 2100 people logging in every day.
You will be fine VMing them.

I just checked my WI (v4.2)and I only have 1gb of ram. It's 8:41 CST right now and I don't see that server using more than 200mb of ram. So I’d think 4gb on the WI would be overkill depending on your environment. I have 1600 sessions going right now. Same goes for the license server. I have only 1GB allocated to it. It's using 300mb.
Our WI/License server is also running 1 GB in VM
I run all my front end servers on VM without any issues. Web Interface, Secure Gateway, EdgeSight, Password Manager and Licensing. Have been doing it this way for some time and it works great.
Hello,
We run our WI and CSG server for PS 3.0 on VM's and everything is great. I think i'd like to also run my Citrix Licensing server on my WI\CSG. Has anyone done this before? Do I have to worry about any port 80 conflicts?
Our licensing server is also running on our WI-server.works fine, we remapped our xml port to 8080 it's in the Citrix Farm properties
Cool, thanks for the post.
