Hi all,
We have an existing farm on 32 bit windows 2003 with Citrix PS 4.5 and we want to introduce a new published desktop server running x64 Windows 2003 server with x64 bit Citrix PS 4.5. We have an Oracle 9i datastore. Could not find an x64 bit Oracle 9i client so installed x64 Oracle 10g client. All went on ok but now when we run the Citrix x64 install and get to the bit to join the existing farm, it doesnt give the option to create the mf20.dsn file with the Oracle driver - it doesnt even see Oracle is installed - we only get the SQL option. We can successfully test a connection to the backend datastore through ODBC with the oracle driver if we set it up manually but the install doesnt let us configure this - do we need to install the 32 bit Oracle to get this to work ?
Thans for your help guys.

With the 64 bit version of Citrix using SQL, the ODBC settings are configured in the 32-bit ODBC settings not the 64-bit ones under administrative tools. Perhaps there is a similar situation with Oracle. It does seem that the 64-bit version of Citrix still requires 32-bit database client.
I am using Windows 2008 64 bit edition and had the same issue. Try configuring the ODBC connection from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe.
