Thanks to Dennis van Dam my fellow consultant at our company we came to this solution.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\NonEnum]"{F02C1A0D-BE21-4350-88B0-7367FC96EF3C}"=dword:00000001
Same key in HKCU should also work , i tested the LM key on my laptop and it works.
Shame do that this has to be down with a reg hack!

OK because I'm such a nice guy..... NOT I created a adm file for you too:

; Use this one for hiding the network icon in your explorer.

Hehe Hey Dennis, ltns. Thanks for the adm template. Will mark this one and save the adm template for use in the future. The customer in question rolled everything back to Win2k3 because of problems with win2k8/sunray thinclients and more and more compatibility issues.
Hans,
RES PowerFuse 2008 SR5 now fully supports Windows 2008 Terminal Server. You should be able to get the same, and more, functionality of your 2K8 servers.
Cheers,
Brian
I know this is an old thread, I am at a customer who is locking down windows 7 machines and this key saved again the day :) No network at all. So it's confirmed this adm template can also be usefull for Windows 7 workstations.
I am building a XA6.5/2008 SP2 environment using GPO to lockdown the usual suspects. I'm needing to hide the network option in computer/explorer as well, but I'm very new to creating an ADMX template (haven't created one before ;)...and I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that could assist with the syntax for an ADMX/ADML template for this.
Regards,
...Shylah
