hello
just curious to know if anyone has run across any quality scanner that will work with Windows XPe on a thin client. We use the remote scan software to scan into our databases here and are looking for nice "supported" scanner.
We have previously tried it with a new canon 3080 but canon doesnt support XPe at all.

Scale: Regarding using scanners with XPe thin clients and RemoteScan: we have thousands of end users who scan perfectly well with Epson, Canon, Fujitsu, etc. etc. scanners that are attached directly to XPe thin Clients, with all versions of Citrix and all versions of Terminal Services (including Server 2008). Scanner vendors sometimes say scanners won’t work with XPe, probably because they do not to want to deal with using scanners on XPe thin clients as this is a small part of their total sales, and would rather just have people use scanners with PCs. However, RemoteScan has patches for each of the three major Thin Client brands (Neoware, Wyse, HP) that will allow scanner drivers from all of the major brands of scanners to be installed onto these XPe thin clients.
Feel free to
call or email our tech staff for details
, and we can help you with your exact configuration of scanners, thin clients and TS/CX flavors. It’s a fast, easy thing to set up.
